Love In Ten Lines Challenge

A few months ago, a blogger friend, David Paley, http://vancouvervisions.com nominated me to participate in the Love In Ten Lines Challenge. In May, I’d already accepted The Spread the Love Challenge, a very similar one. However, I promised David I’d also accept this one, but with a “not following all the rules” twist. The only rules I followed were: 1. Write 10 (+) lines about love. 2. The catch is, each line has to have only 4 words, and the word love has to appear in each line. 3. Title the post Love in Ten Lines. 4. End the post with your favorite quote(s) on love.

That’s all folks!

There are no specific nominees for this challenge. If anyone who reads this would like to take up the love challenge, please be my guest, and spread the love. You can zip over to David’s site and read his Love In Ten Lines post with all the rules. While you’re there do look at his incredible photograph galleries!

  4. Nice to see you posting, Christine! I’m a Blues girl, but a love song now and then is good too. One of my favorites is still “Old Fashioned Love Song” from Three Dog Night. Mega hugs.

Thanks so much, Teagan! So sorry, I missed your favorite! It wasn’t on the internet list. I’m slowly getting back into blogging and reading blogs. Your series is at the top of my list! Have a great mid-week! Hugs back! Christine

Beautiful my friend, absolutely beautiful. And as far as the Love Quotes go, I shouldn’t have to say anything if you’ve seen my post today, which finishes my participation in “The Quote Challenge” with the final line of the same Biblical chapter from which you drew one of your quotes, 1 Corinthians 13. I guess great minds really do think alike. (Or at least minds that know which Book to turn to when looking for quotes on Love. Lol.) Thanks again for your participation.

Lovely comment, David! Thank you! Ah, yes, our minds know which book to turn to for Love quotes! I did read your quote post this morning and loved it. So happy the sun is shining today, even though you need rain as much as California does. Have a happy week. Christine

I’ve decided it doesn’t do any good to complain about the lack of moisture when I can save that energy for talking to the only one who can actually change it anyway. I wouldn’t mind the hot weather, it’s just the forest fires are destroying a lot of people’s hard-earned property in the interior of the Province, and there is always the danger of the fires getting out of control as I’m sure you know very well. Too many people at risk. Here in the city, well, brown is the new green, and I can live with something that minor any day. You keep yourself safe out there (from what I hear, your wildfires are encroaching on your populated areas, and highways and things, which is far worse than we have it), and take care. We’ll catch up with you later.

Oh, I love Vincent Van Gogh! His art is definitely inspiring, but most people don’t know what an amazing heart he had, and what wonderful reading material he left the world. Thank you for sharing a quote from him. I cannot listen to Starry Starry Night by Don Mclean without my eyes getting all watery, especially when he sings the verse “But I could’ve told you Vincent, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you”

I think you have inspired me to write something about our dear Vincent. Thanks 🙂

I’m so happy that you like the Van Gogh quote. If you do write something up please feel free to borrow the quote! If you want that exact one, let me know and I’ll give you the source. That is if you cannot copy it from the blog post. I think it’s exciting to honor a favorite artist, writer or actor. Usually interesting, not well-known information is found and shared with all. I enjoy your blog very much, and look forward to more of your writing. Happy Friday and coming weekend. Christine
