The debut historical book, Three Years of Her Life, is in Del Mar, CA, a coastal seaside resort with its beautiful beaches, world-renowned race track, wonderful weather, and upscale living. A good friend, psychologist and playwright, Ellen Nemiroff, enjoys living in Del Mar with all its amenities. And she is reading Three Years of Her Life, again.
Thank you Ellen, for writing a wonderful Amazon 5-star review.
A touching and compelling story of a young woman’s strength, passion and fortitude. This book is a treat, so emotionally gripping that I’m reading it over again. It is written with authenticity that I have not yet experienced. The characters are so real and original that they continue to stay alive in my mind. The story is relevant to the times we are in with fascinating insight into 1950s history. You cannot help being swept away.

I hope its going well for you Chrissy. People think that all we do, or in this case did, was write and publish a story. Big deal they say! So what they say! Well, it is a big deal, far more so than most realize!!! XX

Jack, thanks so much for your comment. I couldn’t have said it better. 🧡 For a first book, it’s going slowly as I thought. Unknown author and all that. I’m marketing on social media, and have to do more. Writing a second book will help with exposure. And I have a literary fiction in progress. 🎶📚Chrissy

The book, A Song for Clare, in progress, is about a woman’s staggering real-life medical & relationship challenges. She was a backup singer for Janis Joplin, Joan Baez & others. Her singing career was shut down by a narcissistic, controlling husband. When she got sick and recovered somewhat, she was braver. She left him—after a simple, surprising incident that put her back in the spotlight. Those five minutes gave her courage. Her voice came back stronger. Music saved her from going down the rabbit hole. Even when she was hit with a more serious medical condition. 📚🎶 Christine

So true, Jack. Recently a neighbor asked me, “We know you write books, and take care of your house — but what do you DO all day?”

OMG…that is so awesome of you, Pete. Now I have another book sighting post to do. Where can I get a photo of you? On your blog site, maybe? Or can you send one to my email: cerobinson39@cox.net
This is so much fun! I’m excited now to do the oh so dreaded book marketing. I just got pinged by my granddaughter. She sent me a photo of reading the book in Central Park! This is snowballing! Yay! 📚🎶 Christine

Pete, I have all I need to know about you from your website, including photo of you & Ollie. So you are an author too! And quite an impressive career background. You are on the book sighting blog list. It could be a place or a website, now. 📚🎶 Christine

Not really an author, more a writer of fictional short stories and serials. But some have been published in magazines, and on websites. x

Got it. I’ll keep that in mind. You definitely are published and a fiction writer! 📚🎶

I think the new strategy book sighting posts draw more attention. A personable post about a place & a person. Now, I have to push for more reviews. I just came across The Independent Authors Network. My blogger Greek friend Nicolas Rossis belongs. I joined as a Bronze member (nominal fee) and they will help market the book. Once my book & info is live, I’ll let you know if it’s worth joining. I’ll let Teagan know about it if she doesn’t read this thread. Hope the same for you that your book(s) get a good response. You do have more active followers than I do. Although I have some new bloggers that I’m thankful for. I’ve met some through Jack too. He’s a great support! 📚🎶 Christine

I would be interested to see if that works. I do hope to get a few photos of people with the book, but I’m done traveling for a while. Good luck!

Christine, I’m so excited for you and your book to be going places. What an excellent place too.
By the way, I left a review at Goodreads, but it hasn’t shown up at Amazon. (Sometimes they kick out my reviews.) Revel in publishing this book, my fellow moon girl. Hugs on the wing.

Teagan, fellow moon child, thank you so much for the review! Amazon is supposed to post all reviews even if you buy the book elsewhere. Not fair to post only for verified buyers. I hope it shows up. I’d love to do a book sighting post about you & promote your books! Can you copy the review in an email to me? I will put it together. I’m excited about this new marketing strategy. In this blog thread I told Dan about The Independent Author Network that I just joined. Blogger friend, Nicholas Rossis belongs, and it looked promising. Check it out for more marketing exposure. I just joined so my book & info isn’t live yet. You can enter more than one book. And join different levels. I’m Bronze at the beginning. Hugs back, my friend. 📚🎶Christine

I’ve had bad experiences with groups like that. Although I have not been part of Nicholas’s. Anyhow once burned, twice shy. So I won’t get involved.
I’m afraid my review is more of a positive comment than a “real” review. But many people encourage that kind. Having 5 stars helps no matter the length. Here’s a link.
