November’s been a busy Award Month for me. I’ve received three very prestigious blog/blogger awards. I’m honored to be recognized as an up-and-coming blogger, and among the unique voices of women bloggers around the world. I thank the nominators from the bottom of my heart!
The first, One Lovely Blog Award, was nominated by Greg Mercer, http://bigredcarpetnursing.com.
The second, a Liebster Blog Award, was nominated by The Mindful Expat, http://mindfulexpat.wordpress.com.
The third, Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, was nominated by Saakshi Kale, randommusings, http://meanthe30dayproject.wordpress.com.
Each award has its unique meaning and a variety of time consuming rules to follow for acceptance. One rule is answering creative questions, and making up questions to pass on to other nominees. It’s a fun way to find out blogger friends’ individual characteristics.
As a new blogger it was a fantastic start and a huge Welcome to the Land of Blog. I’m having a wonderful time meeting and following new talented blogger friends from countries near and far. I’m keeping all of you from 34 countries on my Stats Map!
I’ll never know if three awards in rapid succession are a stroke of beginner’s luck, or a sprinkle of magical fairy dust. I do know that I feel like a real blogger and my blog site is only seven months old! That’s a big thank you to my blogger friends world-wide!
But, there’s success and luck in numbers, and for me “three’s a charm.” Overtime, I doubt I’d be in danger of overload, but because of the time factor, I’ve got to stop accepting awards for now.
Writing is my passion! I need more time to write! I’ve two WIPs to finish; Happily Ever After (mine) and Before Sundown everyday. I’m a co-author for Before Sundown everyday with a longtime, eighty-six-year-old friend. I’d say time is of the essence to finish and publish his book!
I’m no spring-chicken either, but I think he holds the trump card!
Before Sundown is Now Declared Award-Free
It’s Welcome Page has a spectacular Sunset Gallery, and the gallery is wide open for more sunsets! I’ve borrowed some from blogger friends’ sites (crediting them), and I’d love lots more! Let me know on the Welcome Page if you have one you’d like me to showcase! I’ll visit your site and copy it! Of course you all know I love. love, love sunsets, along with a whimsical fairyland and magical fairy dust!
All Best, Christine
Congratulations! Happy Thanksgiving! 😀

Alright. First, congratulations three times!!! 🙂
Second, you are a real blogger so don’t say you feel like a real blogger.
Third, you don’t need to stop accepting awards. They’re yours already, as I said in the piece I just incidentally posted a few minutes ago. Enjoy!!!

J.Gi, thank you so much for your comments! I appreciate your opinion on blog awards. I love my three blog awards and feel honored that I got them so early in my blogging career! It would be hard not to accept more awards because I do love getting them. I think it’s respectful to a nominator to be up front that I have an award-free site. And it’s not because of any dislike for awards. It’s to concentrate on writing those two WIPs (books). Putting a list together for nominees takes a lot of thought and it’s disappointing to find out after all that effort that people on the list say no, or worse yet don’t say anything. I should know beforehand they’d say no and not nominate them. I’m off to read your new post about this and I’ll comment on your site. BTW…do you have any sunset photos you’d like me to “showcase” on my blog Welcome page? I have quite a few there already from blogger friends! I’d love more!

I think so, too. At least, they know. I just think that if they give it to you, it’s yours already and you can do — or not do — anything you want with it 🙂

Fortunately, before I even got my first award, I was already aware of this happening. So I just gave them the awards anyway, told them about it, and said they’re welcome not to participate if they don’t want to or if the award is already redundant with a former one given them by others. Needless to say, I prepared myself to be a bit disheartened (LOL!!!!). In fact, I knew beforehand that some of them weren’t accepting awards anymore, he he. I just wanted to show my appreciation.
Sunset photos…Hmnn..I am not particularly sure. Will definitely share once I found one or more. As for your writing projects, I wish you all the best for them!!! It’s so nice to know that people are following their dreams :>

Thank you J.Gi for taking time to continue commenting. I’ve actually put a long comment on your blog site. So, will wait for you to read there and not repeat the same thoughts here.

Hopefully one day you’ll take another look at the Liebster Award I nominated you for, and I’ll see a post of acceptance! Anyway, it’s yours to keep, even if you just post the logo on your blog site for inspiration to keep writing!

Some days are pretty bleak and gray, but there might be one thing you see or read on my blog site that makes you smile. Remember that and go find another thing in your day to smile about. Hello, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your blog site in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, amazing blog!
