Granddaughter Audrey was accepted into the Joffrey Ballet School as a trainee. This year she’ll complete summer intensive training in San Francisco versus NYC, however the yearly school is located in NYC. In her last year of high school, she continued her studies at Bellevue College (BC) and work toward her AA (two year degree). Then, in the future she’ll complete a four year degree probably in architecture. While she’s at the Joffrey School, she’ll do BC online courses toward college credits. Smart girl, she’ll dance while she’s young and finish college later on in life. Typical for dancers, she battled a ligament tear and some bone structure problems in her foot. Luckily, a recent MRI showed no significant structural anomaly. Yes, you guessed it, she danced on her injured foot to audition for the Joffrey Ballet School, and she made it! She’s one tough, determined young lady. It goes without saying, “I’m so proud of my granddaughter.”

How wonderful post! I remember very well, when my granddaughter was small and we played hide and seek in our home. Time flew and then later young girl she loved riding – well yet today, but missing time now. Nowadays she is studying to become engineer. If you do not mind, I will show photos when she was young and loved riding. There are photos also my daughter in this post from 2012:

Thank you so much for your comment. I will look at the post & photos for sure. Granddaughters are so precious at any age. Audrey is now at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn for Interior design. She is no longer in ballet. It was a good change for her. Have a wonderful Christmas & New Years. 🥳🎶🎄

Thanks so much, Cheryl. Audrey had a good run in ballet. But, changed her focus after a foot injury. She’s at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, studying architectural and interior design. She switched her love of dance to design. All good. 🥳🎶 Christine
