Thank you for your visit! You are all people as a bright as the moon…and your hearts shine with the light of a million heavenly stars. Before Sundown, remember what made you smile.

Debut novel: Three Years of Her Life – C.E.Robinson

Photo gallery- sunsets and sunrises from worldwide blogger friends.

Sunset Inn, Kezar Lake, Center Lovell, Maine

1923 – Gustav & Edna Heim (my grandparents) created Sunset Inn & Cottages on the shores of Kezar Lake. Today, it’s part of Quisisana Resort, an adjacent piece of lakefront land. Musical tradition at Quisisana Hotel goes back to 1917.  Spenser & Madaline Strauss established the resort as a haven for musicians. And music lovers who played together for their own entertainment. A Quisisana guest, Gustav Heim, served as first trumpeter with symphony orchestras in Boston, Detroit and New York.

Three Years of Her Life, a debut novel is an indelible portrait of family love, trust, commitment, and unrelenting prejudice. A stirring tale that rides the line between historical fiction and romance, inspired by a famous musician’s hidden secret in Germany.

  9. Hello Christine! Thank you so very much for visiting my site and for your follow… that is so gracious and kind! I am always amazed anybody bothers to read my ramblings, so of course i take none of this for granted! And can I say for the record, that YOU ARE MY HERO! I love and admire nurses and the profession in general… I realize you are now retired and all, but I so wish I would have made the decision to go into nursing as my grandmother had done (she was an LPN). Somewhat late in life, I trained to do medical transcription (before voice recognitiion started – what a joke that is!) and realized quite late I had missed my calling. It felt as natural as a well fitting shoe. And with transcription, I also had my love of words satisfied… still, I would have loved to have been a theatre nurse. I look forward to learning more about you – and to seeing more “before sundown” photos as well! My site is littered with them. Also sunrises. And quite a few sunny moments in between… Life is for living, Christine! How lovely to meet you out here… Mother Hen

    • Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! Your story sadden me that you missed your calling. Just by reading your posts and getting to know you, you would have been a wonderful nurse. Not only for the practical aspect but for the emotional as well, with a much needed gift of humor! I always look forward to your posts! MotherHenDiaries is a catchy title. I’m going to look for your sunset photos and grab a few for my gallery. Of course your name will be on them! Sunsets Rock! Glad I met you too!

Christine, I forgot to give you this link for the the yearbook of the original 1943 graduating paratroopers of the 11th A/B Division. It may take some doing – but I’m sure you’ll find your uncle’s pictures. (hope I do this link correctly – I’m not the best at it)

  17. Hello Christine, I’ve nominated you for the Liebsters award, since I enjoy reading it so very much.
You can check it out at http://itshardii.wordpress.com/2014/11/30/leibster-award-1/

    • Hardi Goradia, I’m honored that you nominated me for the Liebster Award! I’ve been following your blog for some time now, and I’m impressed with you writing and your goal to be a solicitor. Your blog tagline says it all, ” If you are resolutely determined to make a lawyer of yourself, the thing is more than half done already.” – Abraham Lincoln. And you’re half-way done! I thought long and hard about this Liebster Award, especially since I’ve declared my site award-free after receiving three blog awards in succession. But, because you are a special blogger friend, I’ll accept it! Thank you so much!

    • Thanks again Diana for your comment. I’m enjoying showcasing other bloggers sunsets in photos, and their accomplishments in posts. Do you have a favorite sunset you’d like me to showcase in the Welcome Page gallery? Seems this is getting popular. I also visit bloggers sites and borrow sunsets when I see them. Always credit the blogger for their work.

  22. Wow! Wow!!! Love it. I’ve got some gorgeous sunrise in South India pix. We have to exchange, somehow. You were right, bathing in this beauty did change my wavelength. Also I have been doing a lot of crying and remembering things my father and I did together, which of course I will have to blog about, and that was therapeutic although heartwrenching. I have to get back to writing my bookings, seriously. This emotional energy can be put to use, I hope…think I’ll go back and gaze into your sunsets for a while now…..

    Liked by 3 people

    • Laura, thanks for visiting the sunsets, and for your comments! So glad you’re going to gaze more. It’s good that you’re going to blog about your father and remember the happy times. It surprised me when I put more of my Dad in Chapter 4 – It Was the Times of the book Happily Ever After. He wasn’t that present in my life, so I’ve put him there! It made me feel better. If you find any sunset pics from South India, I can copy them from your blog site. Just let me know. For me…sunsets cue me to…remember what made me smile… before sundown. It’s comforting. Enjoy your time abroad…find some amazing sunsets there.

Wow. That is one beautiful gallery, and I think I’ll be spending a fair amount of time around here when I’m doing my thinking for my next chapters, or the stanzas for my poems. Pictures like that certainly have to help the thinking processes. Here in Vancouver we have some wonderful sunsets, so I guess I’ll have to remember to take my camera with me the next time I am at the beach. If it stays clear out today maybe I’ll even get that done tonight. In the meantime thank you for inviting me to your wonderful site, and I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

If you post it on your blog site (for you to enjoy too), I can copy it for the gallery! Happy New Year & Happy Writing! Christine

  33. Thanks for your comments, Brenda. Well, seems the old hard drive died and nothing can be retrieved. Cost would be too much to send to another company for that. So the new year is a real start for writing & backing up. Good I have a lot on the blog site, and hard copies saved. Phew! Christine

Since I am not exactly certain of your stance on the matter of awards, I have nominated you for the Primio Dardos Award, and if you are interested in accepting this nomination, you can find out all you need to know at “Vancouver Visions“. I hope to see you there.

    • David, thank you for nominating me for the Premio Dardos Award! Like you my site is award-free. I needed more time to write 3 WIPs (books). But this award is the exception as it’s not time consuming, and I’ll be able to pass it on and honor 15 of my favorite blog sites! I appreciate you thinking of me, and yes, I’m happy to accept the award. Christine

    • Oh dear, Sally, what a lovely surprise and a Lovely award! As much as I’d like to accept it (because I love awards & would love to support you by accepting) I’m unable to! I know I accepted two awards after I declared Before Sundown Award-free (after four awards). But, those two were related to the writing process with minimal work (questions to answer & make up). And I got to showcase authors (you, Nicholas and Teagan) and two young blogger friends. I know, I couldn’t resist, and I caved! Now, I’ve really got to mean it, and stick to the Award-Free declaration! I’m hoping you understand! I love the beautiful bouquet of flowers and I’ll put them in a special place on my blog site. I might make a page for them on the header! Thank you so much for thinking of me. Congratulations on your One Lovely Blog Award. I’m going to write a comment on your post. Amazing we have more similar things in our lives than brain health and nutrition! Christine
