Debut novel: Three Years of Her Life – C.E.Robinson
Photo gallery- sunsets and sunrises from worldwide blogger friends.
Sunset Inn, Kezar Lake, Center Lovell, Maine
1923 – Gustav & Edna Heim (my grandparents) created Sunset Inn & Cottages on the shores of Kezar Lake. Today, it’s part of Quisisana Resort, an adjacent piece of lakefront land. Musical tradition at Quisisana Hotel goes back to 1917. Spenser & Madaline Strauss established the resort as a haven for musicians. And music lovers who played together for their own entertainment. A Quisisana guest, Gustav Heim, served as first trumpeter with symphony orchestras in Boston, Detroit and New York.
Three Years of Her Life, a debut novel is an indelible portrait of family love, trust, commitment, and unrelenting prejudice. A stirring tale that rides the line between historical fiction and romance, inspired by a famous musician’s hidden secret in Germany.

Thank you so much for featuring my photo and the crazy red head who took me on the walk to get that picture, Christine. A beautiful sunrise really makes a difference in the way my day starts – so much better!

Thank you, Dan for leaving a comment. It was my pleasure to feature you and Maddie for the February blog header. Sunrises are hard to come by, much too early to photograph. I love it when I see one, and yours is perfect through the trees. The radiating rays are beautiful and peaceful. I agree, days start better that way. Christine

Sunrise and sunset seem to be the most perfect part of the day. It’s everything in between – on both ends of it – that get jacked up.
Great pictures.
I love California, by the way.

Christine, I love those photos. My little camera seems to photograph more sunrises than sunsets and I haven’t decided what to do with them just yet? 📚 Yes, it was strange that I kept looking for the book emoji, but find it, now it shows up? 📚

Stories are important: As teenager it bugged me that my grandmother’s stories took liberties with facts: now I see she was a great storyteller and embellished for the sake of drama and surprise!
Her name was Karen but she was known as Sissa.
She was neighbor to the greatest Danish Storyteller Isak Dinesen = Karen Blixen ( Out of Africa etc)

Thank you, Elisabeth. Storytellers do tell tales for drama. Your grandmother would have been a good writer! How interesting to have a famous neighbor. Wonder if they talked writing & books over coffee. Can just imagine! 📚🎶 Christine

I’m querying agents now. A long process to get responses. If that fails, I’ll self publish. Now, the book is only in 2 Word docs. Family members and a blog friend in India are reading it as is. It will be a few months for the book—ebook or printed. 📚🎶

Wow, your sunrise/sunset photos are breathtaking, Christine. I’m not an early riser. I take many sunset photos during my travel. I even take sunset photos in the sky from the plane. If I fly during sunset time, I make sure to get a window seat facing west. I have a folder on my computer for all the sunrise/sunset photos. I’ll check out your book later.
