About Mihran
Mihran Kalaydjian is an award-winning solo pianist and composer. At an early age he began his insatiable passion to master the piano. During those beginning years in Jerusalem, he shared his family’s love of music and tradition. Mihran had no formal training in music even though his parents were insistent he have lessons. He played spontaneously from pure instinct.
His talent progressed to an honorable status, a Gold Medalist: Pianist, Music & Composer in Four International Piano Competitions.
My intention is toward cultivating a greater sense of the present moment, and inviting the listener to open more fully to his or her experience.
There has always been a recognized trinity between the mind, the body and the therapeutic qualities of Music. And the piano, specifically, has been a long-recognized source of remedy for those seeking escape and creative expression. But recent years have also offered a wealth of scientific studies that demonstrate our instincts have always been correct: playing the piano offers proven benefits – from physical and intellectual to social and emotional – to people of all ages.
Mihran has many loves aside from the piano. He loves the outdoors, comedy, barbeques, reading and traveling. In college he worked in the beer industry and in restaurants, developing skills that carried over into his adult life. Today he has a successful business that provides visionary leadership and management oversight of the sales, marketing and revenue strategies for Classic Hotels and Resorts.
