Liebster Blog Award # 4

liebster2

Thank you Melissa Ruddy, of In Between Moderation, who nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award. Melissa claims she had never been good at moderation with her all or nothing, black or white thinking, until she became a working mother. Now she shouts to the rooftops she needs moderation to get through a hectic day and hang onto sanity and fulfillment. She’s on an interesting, fun-loving journey to find moderation and balance without losing her mind. We all need some of that! Her blog posts are enlightening and entertaining.

About the Award

The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The word Liebster is German meaning sweetness, kindness, nicest, dearest, valued, endearing, and welcome. Blogging is about building a community, and it’s a great way to connect with other bloggers, and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.

Rules

You know I’m not following the rules, so why include them. Before Sundown has more than 200 grateful, appreciated followers, and this is my fourth Liebster Award. For the first I followed every rule. For the second, I improvised. It was a Showcase Edition promoting two young blogger friends. The third was from a blogger friend in Florida. No formal write-up, it’s on the Awards Page. For this fourth , I’m throwing the rules out the window. No nominees. Except, I’m promoting Melissa, the nominator! She’s the moderation and balance guru. Visit her site and you’ll see what I mean!

Melissa’s Questions for Nominees

There are five questions asking about a favorite movie, your greatest gift ever received, your idea of balance, what you learned from your last vacation, and what is your favorite type of cookie. I’ve picked one to answer. Expect a different slant on it.

The Greatest Gift Ever Received

Yesterday, after writing up the acceptance post for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award, I’ve recognized the greatest gift of a name change to Chryssa (Greek name for Christine) as my new writer name. Chryssa’s been around since the 1970s when I was a young 30-something poet living in Greece. She popped back into my head about five months ago when I started editing a screenplay for a screenwriter friend. It just happened and there she was typing her name to e-mails and text message to the screenwriter.

Chryssa thought since Christine the writer was lagging behind miserably in book writing that she’d better stick around and help out. She’d been pretty successful at poetry and now screenplay editing, so why not give book writing a try. Christine wasn’t objecting. She found out Chryssa’s got some outstanding character qualities stated on the Internet (always correct about everything). She’s creative and her great ideas are steps ahead of everyone else! And she’s no scaredy-cat.

The mentioned above Dragon’s Loyalty Award really has a loyalty meaning. It’s called dragon power. But, you’re got to be willing to fly around with it to new lands and adventures. Kind of like a free-fall for the imagination to write perfectly whatever you want, whenever you want. Well, we all know who’s in line for that ride, now don’t we?
