Two blogosphere friends, the incredible Author Promotions Enterprise-The Story Reading Ape’s Blog, Chris Grahamhttp://thestoryreadingblog.com – and creative Sci-fi, Epic fantasy & Children’s Stories author, Nicholas C. Rossishttp://nicholasrossis.me inspired me to create this Awards Page. A brilliant way to accept these wonderful awards, continue to write books, and support/promote fellow authors.

untitled AWARD FREE ZONE 2

Before Sundown was nominated for four awards in a row. As a newbie blogger, I had brain overload with the work to accept them, and two WIP books to write. I had to declare the site award-free, even though I loved awards, and the connection with worldwide fellow bloggers.

Then the Premio Dardos Award and Tour Through Blogland came along. I gladly lifted the no awards please and accepted both. I rationalized that the work involved a creative writing process, a help to spark my creative thoughts, and book writing. In turn I’d nominate and recognize other bloggers for their writing.

Recently Marty Leake nominated me for my third Liebster Award. Marty’s site is An Inspiring Writer, Short Stories, Flash Fiction & Photography. It has all of that, and amazing photos of Florida sunsets. This is Marty’s first award and I wanted to support him. I’m honored that he nominated me, and happy to accept it. Thank you Marty!

I realized the all-in-one Blog Awards Page would fit the perfect path to recognize, show support and gratitude to award nominators, and all my fellow blogger friends; nominees, dedicated visitors, even the award-free ers.

Party-6-300x168

April marks my one-year Blogversary! Let’s start an early celebration. I’ll bake petits fours, and pop the cork on champagne. Please join me in a fun party!

 Seven Things About Me

I love whimsy and humor, and try to add a touch of one or the other in writing. This is not easy for a left-brained, analytical, detail oriented thinker, but I’m working on it.

In my younger years I modeled for an Illustrator photographer, and featured on east coast billboards, Give Life a Lift in West Palm Beach – Tropical Florida’s First Resort. Imagine me with jet-black hair and violet eyes like Elizabeth Taylor!

I’m older than dirt today!

I attended Washington State University (WSU) with my sons. I knew their girlfriends (now wives) there. I was a proud honorary frat Mom at Kappa Sigma, and at times a designated driver.

I’m an ex-pat and lived in Italy, Greece, and Japan, 5 years in each country. The highlight was traveling around Europe, skiing the Matterhorn (Italian Alps), and other great slopes in France, Austria and Switzerland.

Dogs rule this house! Shih Tzu Sammy (age 7) and Charley (age 4) pretty much act like kids. Charley teases Sammy, he barks & growls! Sammy bosses Charley, he whimpers & complains to me!

I live in SoCal with its many days of sunshine! But, I keep track of weather on the east coast, and the North West where family lives. I don’t make a big deal about our glorious weather during their snowstorms, fog banks & rainy days.

A year ago (this April), I was a tech challenged blogger. I learned the WordPress ropes “ by fire” and kept the site “blazing” with published posts, and The Sun also Rises and Sets Gallery. Worldwide blogger friends have loaned me their extraordinary, beautiful, incredible, amazing sunrises and sunsets for the gallery.

drumrollHere’s that long list of blogger friends that I follow, and those who visit Before Sundown. I know there are new blog followers not on the list. No worries, you’ll be there soon with updates!

The invitation is open for anyone listed to select and accept one of the featured awards, and follow these simple rules:

  1. Display the logo on their web/blog site
  2. Link back to this page
  3. Write 7 things about themselves
  4. Nominate 7 other people

If you’d prefer flowers, please choose from the Field of Flowers Gallery at the end.

Christine Elizabeth Robinson, a former nurse practitioner ventures into the world of fiction to write books. Published in May 2022, THREE YEARS OF HER LIFE, a historical fiction, comes from her love of researching family history. A background as a published poet, experience in writing fiction, non-fiction and screenplays, is an advantage in her writing career. Christine lives in Southern California. A sequel to the debut book, THE NINE YEARS THAT FOLLOWED, in progress, will be available in Spring, 2024. The plot explodes and the characters evolve, moving forward. Thank you so much, Jo! Glad you like the “blogger” company. I’m finding there are more and more amazing blog sites in the Blogosphere! Yep, that’s me on the billboard (age 19). Cold October in CT, in and out of a pool to get just the right pose & smile on the edge. In time for marketing the warm winter weather in Florida! My Dad took the polaroid photo. Said he was tired of seeing me on too many billboards as he drove to FLA! HA!
